One-to-One
Help a Family: 1-to-1
Sign up online to sponsor a family in need. Your monthly donation of $36.50 will help provide groceries for an average of 15 meals each month* for a family struggling with hunger. (Because of increased grocery prices, we are matching each family in need with two sponsors so we can combine two donations to provide more food for each family.)
Once you sign up, F-to-F will match you with a family on one of the communities we sponsor, and email you information about your “new family.”
In addition to your monthly donation, you have the option of sending your sponsored family (via your local post office, UPS, etc.) a “monthly drive” item – a non-food basic necessity like winter gloves, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. For suggested monthly drive items click here.
Want to do more? To promote literacy in our communities through the recycling/sharing of children’s books, we encourage you to send one new children’s book to the family you’re sponsoring, monthly.
We hope that you and the family we’ve matched you with will want to learn more about each other. A great way to do this is to exchange letters or emails. Click to learn more (and scroll to FAQ #12).
*Since grocery prices are high and still climbing, we’re now matching two sponsors instead of one with each family in need in many of the communities we serve. Using donations from two sponsors, we can provide enough groceries to help each sponsored family make it through the last week of the month, when SNAP benefits (food stamps) are gone and food pantry shelves are often bare.
Join Family-to-Family and sponsor a family in need. With a monthly donation of $36.50, we will:
- Purchase groceries to provide an average of 15 meals per month and have them delivered to our partner outreach coordinator for your sponsored family, or
- Provide your family with a food coupon they can use to shop at a local grocery store.
Or, consider rounding up your recurring donation to $40.00 to help Family-to-Family keep our lights on!
Please note that while your monthly sponsorship donation to Family-to-Family is tax deductible, items that you purchase yourself and ship to “your” sponsored family are NOT considered tax deductible.
