Link Up! Sponsor a family in need with a monthly box of groceries. Choose one of the five options below and help ease the burden of hunger and poverty in one of America's poorest communities.
Click here to sign up and we’ll assign you a specific family to help. Your automatic monthly donation of $36.50 will provide your “new family” with enough groceries to get them through the end of the month. We encourage your family, children included, to connect to your linked family by exchanging letters or emails. To enhance your family’s experience in a hands-on way, consider buying and sending a monthly basic personal care item such as shampoo or toothpaste.
Two donors help one family in need… an affordable option. Our 2-for-1 option matches two donors (contributing $18.50 per month each) to help one family in need. Combined, your automatic monthly donation will provide your assigned family with enough groceries to get them through the end of the month. We encourage your family, children included, to connect to your “new family” by exchanging letters or emails. Want to do more? Consider sending a basic personal care item when possible.
Family-to-Family’s Refugee Sponsorship Program is a way to help families and individuals that have arrived in the U.S. seeking asylum. As they rebuild their lives, start jobs and enroll in school, your sponsorship ($27.50 monthly to share a sponsorship or $55 monthly for a full sponsorship) will provide the family we link you to with a week’s worth of groceries each month.
Help a struggling, working poor family that isn’t eligible for most poverty relief programs because they earn just above the federal poverty level. Your automatic monthly donation of $11 will allow one family to “shop” – no funds needed – at the Red Bird Mission “Gap Pantry” in Beverly, Kentucky, for a week’s worth of groceries.
Start a group of donating families. Through your network of friends, family, community or faith-based group, gather 4 or more families and help struggling families in your own community. Each family in your group will shop for and pack a box of basic grocery items monthly. We’ll advise you on how to find a small underserved neighborhood food pantry that will make sure families in need in your own backyard will get your packed boxes. Learn more.
