In an effort to make giving easy and “out-of-the-box,” we’ve created “Food on the Move!” – a simple way for people moving from one home to another to “share their bounty” on moving day!  Families cleaning out kitchen cupboards as they pack up to move can fill a shopping bag with unwanted nonperishable food items and hang it on their front doorknob, and their realtor will pick it up for a local food pantry.  Simple giving. Realtors and movers… Learn more here.

Please join our efforts to make the holidays bright for families struggling to get by this winter season….the Family-to-Family way!  Here are a few hands-on ways you and your family can help.

  • STUFF A STOCKING for a child in need.
  • Join F-to-F’s annual unwrapped TOY DRIVE and make it possible for a mom or dad in poverty to “shop” for just the right gift for their child.
  • Provide your children with a concrete, meaningful way to give to another child — join GIVE IT UP FOR KIDS IN NEED!

Another option….let us do the shopping for you, by packing up and sending a “BOX OF HOLIDAY CHEER” to a family in need.
Or consider one of our COMPASSIONATE GIFT ALTERNATIVES made in the name of a friend, colleague or loved one.

Our new “Shower To The People” one-to-one sponsorship program is off and running, with donors signed up to sponsor families with monthly personal care items in seven of our recipient communities. We’re excited to be organizing and facilitating a second bulk donation of thousands of personal care products from High Ridge Brands, the makers of Zest, Coast, Alberto VO5, White Rain and Rave, which will be delivered in June to 20 nonprofit organizations around the U.S. that serve an impoverished population.  Each community will receive a pallet (5 feet by 5 feet!) of soap, shampoo, body wash and conditioner to give out to some of our nation’s poorest and most vulnerable families.

A big thank you to our generous donors who have helped so many children start the school year off with the supplies they need.  Welch’s employees donated and assembled 150 gorgeous backpacks jam packed with supplies for 150 kids in need in Massachusetts… and contributions over the last few weeks have made it possible for us to send hundreds of backpacks to children in Orlando, Fl. and Montrose, Ak., as well as $900 worth of supplies — including notebooks, paper, pencils, pens, crayons, glue sticks, folders and more… to families in Mingo County, West Virginia.
