Thanks to the many generous local families who joined our drive (plus kids in the Student Activity Club at Farragut Middle School), we collected over 60 “Pool Bags” for children in need in Hastings on Hudson and Dobbs Ferry, NY. Donors filled each bag with a brand new beach towel, bottle of sunscreen and water bottle. A few added sunglasses and goggles, and there was even one noodle! The bags were distributed to kids going to the two village day camps by the Hastings Youth Council and SPRING in Dobbs Ferry.

170 Orlando kids in need woke up on Christmas morning to find exactly the gifts they wanted most waiting for them! Thanks to these 4th graders at Hillside School in Hastings on Hudson, New York, two local food pantries are happily well stocked with personal care items! As members of the student council, the kids and their teacher organized a drive for the everyday personal care basics that can’t be purchased with SNAP (food stamps) by families in need. They drive yielded enough complete sets of shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, shaving cream, soap, and body wash for more than 60 struggling Hastings and Dobbs Ferry families.
