If you’re a sponsor, consider sending “your” family any of the optional monthly drive items listed below. Families and individuals receiving SNAP benefits (food stamps) can’t use them to buy basic items like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, toilet paper or other non-food essentials. Please note that anything you send should be new, unopened and unused. Please ship the items by the dates below.

(If you sponsor a Hastings on Hudson or Dobbs Ferry (NY) family, drop your drive items off at our Hastings office at 581 Warburton Avenue.)

January 9 – Shampoo and Conditioner
February 13 – Bath Soap, Shaving Cream, Face Soap
March 13 – Paper Goods: tissues, wipes, paper towels
April 10 – Toothpaste and Toothbrushes
May 8 – First Aid Supplies: Band-Aids, antibiotic cream
June 12 – Deodorant, body creams
July 10 – Backpacks and School Supplies
August 14 – Shampoo and Conditioner
September 11 – Winter Wear: Gloves, Hats, Scarves, Thermals or, if you sponsor a family in a warm weather climate, cotton or fleece blanket or towels.
October 9 – Socks and Children’s Pajamas
November 6 – Non-perishable Thanksgiving food items
December 11 – Soap, Toothpaste, Dental Floss and holiday gifts
