 Kids-to-Kids
— Because you're special, we want to talk with you. You have
ideas and feelings that adults can't experience.
When you see someone who's suffering, you immediately
want to offer your help. Frequently, you're the one in your family
who wants to participate in Family-to-Family activities. For example,
one midwestern 12-year-old who wrote us hopes to start a children's
book and winter coat drive for Pembroke residents.
There
are way too many poor people in the United States. The need for
assistance is HUGE. And you can make a positive contribution. You
can give your own cans of food. You and your friends can send clothing
you no longer wear or books you no longer read.You can even work
to organize an F-to-F network of your classmates and adult acquaintances.
What you do for Family-to-Family may meet the community service
requirements for your school or boy or girl scout troop. Maybe your
church or temple requires you to undertake a helping project as
part of your religious instruction. If you need to learn about someone
new for your confirmation, bar and bat mitzvah, and/or graduation
requirement, why not join in what F-to-F is doing?
