Sponsor a Family with One Book a Month

When there’s not enough money in the house for food, buying your child a book is next to impossible. We believe hungry minds ache just like hungry bellies and using our "one-to-one" model, we’ve come up with a simple plan.....a way to help feed the hungry minds of children in our sponsored families.....One Book at a Time.

It works like this....we’ll match you to a family with children in one of the communities we serve, give you the children’s names and ages, and ask you to send one child in the family a new or gently used book each month. 

If there are several children in your sponsored family of very different ages, alternate who you send to each month...for example, a book to the four year old one month and a book to the nine year old the next month. We ask that you commit to sending books to “your” family for one year, for a total of 12 books.

If you plan to purchase books, please consider buying them from our Amazon store! Amazon will donate a percentage of your purchase to Family-to-Family.

The books can be new or come from your own shelves…as long as they are still in good condition. You might consider asking your own children to help pick out  a book each month they think the kids we've matched your family to would love. Your kids can help pack it up and even write a short note to the child it is going to.

Books should be sent from your local post office to “your” family care of the outreach center address we will send you when you receive the family’s names and ages.
